AbHeri Diamonds - Purbsuit of Quality and Ethical Standards.

(Conflict-Free Diamond Policy)
ABHERI along with the global diamond industry, has a zero-tolerance policy toward conflict diamonds.
Through measures such as the Kimberley Process, which tracks diamonds from mine to market, the industry in partnership with the United Nations, governments, and nongovernmental organizations, polices diamond exports to prevent the trade of illegal diamonds.
At ABHERI, we only purchase diamonds through the most respected suppliers who adhere to and enforce these standards established by the Kimberley Process.
All ABHERI diamonds are warranted to be sourced from conflict free zones.

About The Kimberley Process

It is an international process to track and certify diamonds.
In April 2003, US Congress and President Bush passed a law adopting the Kimberley Process that requires all US diamond retailers to buy diamonds from manufacturers who have documentation warranting that there merchandise was obtained through legitimate channels.

Today, the US Customs Service actively enforces the Kimberley Process requirements as diamonds enter American ports.

Concerning Zimbabwe Diamonds about Grading and Classification of Diamonds. We have GIA (Gemological Institute of America) Graduate Gemologist select the highest quality of diamonds from the diamond manufacturing centers of the world. At AbHeri, large stones above 0.20 carat are appraised, graded and certified by A.G.L. (Association of Gemological Laboratories, Japan) and guaranteed for its natural origin as well as grades as per the standards set by Gemological Institute of America, USA.

The smaller sizes of diamonds are individually checked and verified for its natural formation.

Grading Diamonds

The famous 4Cs of Grading diamonds

1. Carat Size

carat

Carat is the unit of weight in gemstones. 1 carat is equal to 0.20 grams in weight. The value and the prices goes higher in proportion to the size in carat weight of the diamond.

2. Color

color

The color of diamond is graded on a scale of "D" through "Z". D is the highest color grading which literally means colorless with pure brilliance.
At AbHeri', we use diamonds which are graded as "F" color and higher in color grading.

3. Clarity

clarity

The clarity of diamond is graded on a scale of 11 descending grades from FL (Flawless) up to Heavy Pique (heavy inclusions).
These are inspected by our GIA qualified experts under 10 x magnification, as well as Gemlogical Microsope.
AbHeri's diamonds have a grading standard of VS2 or higher clarity only.
At this level, inclusions are rarely visible to the human eye. And the cost is most economically sourced.

4. Cut

cut

The cutting of the diamond is graded by its proportion, symmetry, and polish. The cutting affects, brilliancy of diamonds and has to be checked strictly for its brilliance.
AbHeri sources diamonds that are certified VERY GOOD cut or higher grade cut .

Color Stone

Selecting gemstones is a very strict process of choosing material for a work of art, so we select each gemstone with great care.
The most important point for selection is the pure charm and uniqueness of each stone.
Sometimes the gem is given an original cut in order to fully capture its beauty.

It takes millions and billions of years for a gemstone to form inside the earth.
A raw stone transforms itself into a truly precious piece of jewelry with the blessings and efforts of many people.

Gemstones that become jewelry have been picked and polished with great care.
It is our hope that these carefully chosen gems designed into beautiful jewelry shall be cherished for a long period of time, even passed on as an heirloom from one generation to other.
